Are you or someone you love walking through the valley of suffering? I want you to know how much I wish there were no need for such a book. I write to you as I myself am walking through this valley. I want you to know that the purpose of the words in this book are to offer you grace in your valley. I will be sharing out of my own experience and pointing you to the One who has promised to be with you through whatever you face. This book is broken into two sections. Section one focuses on the mystery of suffering and how God meets us in our anxieties, fears, and doubts. This section is pastoral in its intent. I am a pastor, and it is my desire to fill you with hope and point you to the grace of God. I will be sharing my story and lessons on faith that I have learned along the way. The second section is a devotional guide. As I’ve walked my own valley of suffering, I have written daily devotions to help point myself, as well as you, to the presence of God. This time of suffering has forced me to draw strength from God each day. So, please use this section as a daily reminder of God’s goodness and presence in the valley of suffering.
